Currently managing 40 beds across 2 cities in Sweden, 20-30 faced challenges in efficiently managing their properties and tenants. With their plans for expansion and a small but motivated team managing the properties and customers, 20-30 quickly realised time and resources are very precious.

Confronting the coliving challenges
For Divya Kasarabada, 20-30’s Community Manager, her daily tasks before introducing Obeyo were filled with juggling between multiple communication platforms such as Slack and Whatsapp to answer the questions of customers. This decentralised way of working made it hard to keep track of issues, tickets, and communication with tenants. Divya:
“When one person needs to handle everything from different channels, it gets hard to decide where to focus on and tickets get lost.” This way of working turned the tenant experience into a formal affair, not the friendly community 20-30 desires to build. As Divya explains: “First, we would be in contact with our customers through email and Slack, this is too formal. Communicating with our residents should be in a friendly tone. We really needed something that would make the tenant experience smoother, while not taking the fun out of it. “

Creating a streamlined and fun tenant experience
As 20-30 was on a quest to enhance the experience for their tenants, they saw a match with Obeyo. Obeyo brings all communication channels back to 1:

For residents, this means clarity. Currently, 20-30 is gradually rolling out Obeyo into their properties. Embracing this change has been a learning curve. Adapting to new ways of communication meant breaking away from the chaotic norm that had become second nature.
“Now, when I need to convey something, I think in terms of Obeyo. Can I draft an announcement, or should I include it in the Knowledge Base? Is there a manual that I can add? It has now become a part of my daily routine," shares Divya.
During the implementation process, Obeyo is there to monitor the implementation and address any challenge that may arise during the process. In this way, 20-30 is ready to embark on a journey of revolutionizing their tenant experience.
Currently, 20-30 is preparing the launch of Obeyo for four locations in Stockholm. Luckily, community switching is fully supported with Obeyo. This will play a key role for multi-city and multi-location operations, which 20-30 can greatly benefit from.
